Hello! Thanks for stopping by. My name is Elle Adams. Im the one in the pink shirt..the goofball in the picture  with me is Shut Up Randy.  He is my market goat project this year and one of my many animals and projects that I own. Shut Up Randy is a boer cross and he is actually kind of a fluke. His mom was really old and was living her retirement out in my herd, when my billy goat Ripple did what billy goats do...he got out and into trouble. Lo and behold we had a suprise birth! Shut Up Randy was born a twin but unfortunately his sister was too weak and couldnt be saved. Since Shut Up Randys mom was pretty old we allowed him to get his colostrum and then I took over his care. I have a dairy herd that I run with my sister so we added him to our list of bottle babies. But because he was a suprise the others were much older and so he spent much of his time with me or my mom. Especially at night it gets pretty cold here in late november so he slept inside by the the fireplace. That is how he earned his name. Originally it was just plain Randy, but night after countless night if he felt he was being ignored he would scream. I slept on the sofa so he could hear me but even that didnt work, that eventually turned into my whole family shouting in the middle of the night SHUT UP RANDY!! Even when he moved outside with the others he was still the loudest one in the bunch. I have had a lot of fun this year and in my previous  years in 4-H  and have been saving almost all of my earnings for my college career. I plan to become a large animal vet and that requires alot of college. My older brother is in college now pursuing engineering, and he paid for his entire first year of college books included with his earnings from 4-H. I really cant let him one up me...can I? So thats it, thats my goal to self fund my college and my 4-H projects. Thanks for reading all the way to the bottom!
