Say hello to my market lamb, Banshee.  She was about 50 lbs when we got her from a local supplier, Jak Kilduff.   When I picked her out she was very loud which is why I named her Banshee.  However after she got settled at home she was a quite and tame lamb.  Banshee was very easy to walk and she enjoyed it everyday.  I fed her everyday but this turned out to be a challenge.  Banshee is a picky eater and would not eat all her feed and leave lots of oats behind.  Per our breeder's suggestion we first tried pelleted food.  The pellets would get crushed and turn to dust.  Banshee doesn't like pellet dust so still was not eating the best.  Our local CO-OP suggested sweeting the food with molassass.  This helped a little bit.  We did this and increased the amount of food per feeding to account for what Banshee may not like.  We were able to improve our rate of weight gain in the last month as an improvement ove the 2 months prior.  So this has been a learning experience.  I also have to learn about better bracing my animal in the show ring.  This was my first year in the lamb project.  I learned a lot and enjoyed it.  Banshee is a good lamb.
