Meet my gilt, Ms. Piggy. When I acquired her in October 2020, she was a crazy pig.  She ran all over the place, and never let me get near.  She’d buck like a horse, which was funny at first, but I knew I needed to really work with her in order to calm her down and have her walking like a show pig.   

I spent 2-3 hours a day with her, working hard to calm her down. Before I knew it, she was walking great, but she still struggled to get her head up.  After I got a new whip, she started lifting that head up practically to the clouds. That, along with her sassy walk, made her ready to show.   Soon, Ms. Piggy was winning ribbons, banners and gifts at the local prospect shows.  Ms. Piggy was winning 1st in her class, Reserved Breed Champion, Breed Champion, and we also made it to many of the Breed Champion Drives as well.  At the South Texas Agricultural Roundup, we also snatched up Reserved Breed Champion, and I won Grand Champion Showman with Ms. Piggy.  We made it to the STAR Roundup Prime Sell and I was super excited since this was the first time.
