Hi there! My name is Athena Pena and I’m a junior at James Madison High School. When I began showing lambs 2 years ago, I had no idea what I was getting into. I was thrown into a crazy world that most people get to grow up a part of.  I have since developed a passion for it. 

After lots of hard work and two visits each day over these last few months with Bocephus, I am finally prepared for my first major show, the San Antonio Stock Show. 

My hours of cleaning out pens, exercising my lamb, working with him in the ring, creating a feeding routine developed specifically with Bocephus’ health and improvement in mind, and so much more. If I’m not sleeping, you’ll find me in the barn. 

As soon as I began my livestock career, I knew I found my happy place. With the help of my summer job and my mom, I have been able to afford my feed and show supplies, but as we rev up for the next year, you can support me too. 

The money I receive from this premium auction will support the purchase of my animals, feed and everything they need to be the best for this upcoming show season. Thank you for your support as I follow my dreams and unlock my full potential as a lamb showman and my goals for next year.
