Hello! My name is Maya Martinez and this is my second year raising lambs. Over the years I've learned a lot about livestock and the dedication it takes. Currently, I have a Southdown and a Finewool Cross that both won champion in their breed classes at North East Ag fair. I spend much of my time exercising and training my lambs so that they could be at their best quality. While having my lambs I've gained a sense of responsibility and commitment about what it means to take care of a living being. Though, at times it was difficult, I still managed to persevere and show up everyday. As a junior in high school, this year has been very busy and stressful however, as I continue caring for these lambs it's become something I look forward to. I take pride in my lambs and have goals to accomplish as the year progresses!
