Hi, my name is Maci Childress. This passage is about my market steer Memphis. This is my first year showing a steer. At the beginning of the year when I first got Memphis as a calf from my grandad, Steve Hopkins with Hopkins family Farm he didn’t trust me all that much. But now Memphis is such a sweet cow. I can walk up to him and give him a hug! He’s just that sweet!! That's one of Memphis’s side. Another side of Memphis is his wild side. This side of him includes, breaking out of his pen, and his wild peaks sometimes like when he just decides that he doesn’t want to listen and he just wants to be a free cow. Memphis is a really smart cow. For example one time, we gave him a corn stalk and he shucked the corn and just ate the leaves!! Its was so funny!!! Over all I think Memphis was an amazing cow to have as my first year doing market steer. I hope this helped you learn more about my market steer Memphis. I am a member in the Southern Maryland Agriculture Development Commission Program (SMADC). I plan to use this year's earnings for my future 4H project and my college. I hope this helped you get to know me and what I do for 4h.
