Hello!  My name is Holly Buchanan.  I am 17 years old and this is my third year showing market ducks for the Falcon FFA Chapter.  I was elected Sentinel for the Falcon FFA Chapter three years in a row and I have earned my Greenhand and Chapter Degrees.  I've participated in District Leadership Events, National Convention and Career Development Events (I was part of the Veterinary Science team).  I chose Poultry Production for my SAE (supervised agriculture experience) because I enjoy working with ducks.  I've learned how to select my market ducks based on confirmation and muscling.  I've also had to learn how to implement bio-security in my coop due to HPAI. 

When I am not participating in FFA events I enjoy running the 100M dash for the Falcon High School Track Team, memorizing Bible verses in Awana, and swimming. 

My duck is a 13 week old male Pekin duck.  His name is Duck Norris.  He is heavily muscled in his breast and upper legs and should hang a high quality carcass.  He will be a tasty addition to your freezer!  I will be showing my duck on Sunday July 16 at 9am at the El Paso County Fair Grounds.
