I am a member of the Kinder Farm Park 4H Livestock Club in Anne Arundel County and I am raising a market goat this year for the second time. I am 13 and this is my fourth year in 4H - I really enjoy it! I like 4H because I get to spend time with animals. I am learning about how to care for animals and about the farming business. I am the club turkey chair as a way to share what I learned with younger club members. My market goat is a Boer named Cow - because he is so big. He was born on January 6th, 2023 and he eats SunGlo 15% protein goat feed (purchased from The Mill in Bel Air), alfalfa, and field grasses. Many thanks to Ms. Steele and Annapolis Pain Management for buying my market sheep last year, and to Mr. Shires of the Edgewater Giant Food for buying my turkey last year!
