Hi I’m Ashlee Smith, a junior at Cypress Ranch High school and growing alongside these chickens has made this year my favorite. It has been an eventful one with temperatures dropping below freezing. As a 2nd year raiser both me and my sister, Angelina Smith, were faced with challenges we had to overcome with one another in order to make sure our 200 chickens were healthy and comfortable. These past 7 weeks have revealed to me the passion and hard work it takes to be a poultry raiser, and that realization couldn't have been made without the love of my family and the love that has been put into these birds. So support the journey, development, and familial bond poultry raising has brought me. Raising has given me an immense amount of joy and with your help I hope to put any proceeds towards my college education and/or future FFA projects. Thank you!
