My name is Brigette Bettice. I am in 8th grade at Heritage Middle School. I have been showing steers and heifers in East Central FFA and Bexar County 4-H since the 3rd grade. I am also a Bexar County Council and cub officer, and am currently 6th in the state for Livestock Judging. Other projects I am active in our Meats Judging and Food Challenge, Public Speaking and Leader's For Life. My future plan is to be a Veteranarian or Pediatrician and attend Texas A & M or Texas Tech University.
Aggie was my favorite steer ever. I always wanted to show a Hereford Steer. I was so excited he was Reserve Grand Champion at our county show. At San Antonio he was just a few lots out of placing and making the auction. I had high hopes at finally placing at the Houston Livestock Show or Austin. Unfortunately I will never know whether Aggie would place. I am just thankful for the health of my family and friends and memories showing. "Whenever God closes a door, somewhere he opens a window. " Hopefully this auction will open doors for me and many other kids to help continue in their future livestock projects and endeavors.
I plan to use the money I raise to go to camp for Livestock Judging and Meats Judging, Lamb Camp, 4-H Livestock Ambassador Camp, to fund next year's projects and my future education. Thank you very much for your support.
