My name is Joaquin Lopez. I am a freshman at Hamshire-Fannett High School and this is my first year showing animals at the South Texas State Fair. I hope to improve my showing skills and enjoy my experience. All money earned will go towards my college education and future projects. This year, the day I was supposed to show at the South Texas State Fair, a storm struck and destroyed the broilers' cage as well as killed several broilers that I had selected for show. However, with God's grace, I persevered and overcame this obstacle by making it to auction with the surviving broilers!
