My name is Maddy Applegate. This is my ninth year doing 4-h. My steers name is Salsa. He is out of my first heifer I have ever shown. I raised her here on our ranch and am very proud to be finally showing one of her own calves as well. Salsa has been one of the funnest steers to raise. He has a very loud personality. Raising and showing steers is a huge part of who I am. The time commitment forces you to become responsible and consistent. This is a skill that will last forever. I plan to use the money from this for college and car expenses as well as contributing to my project next year.
