Howdy,
My name is Wyatt Dittrich, son of Marshall and Sue Dittrich. I am a member of the James Madison FFA Chapter and this year I am showing my Duroc, Scarlet. I have had Scarlet since August 30, 2024. I got her from a local breeder out of Devine, Texas called Barber Hog Farm. When I received her, she only weighed about 25 pounds. With a little love and care, she is now up to 210 pounds. Scarlet has taught me a bunch over the little time that I have had her. From self-discipline to work ethic. My parents have always told me you will never get anywhere in life if you don’t have those 2 characteristics. She is also teaching me life skills as well. Scarlet has been a great pig to raise but she does have a problem with not wanting to walk faster. She walks as slow as a fully loaded semi-truck trying to go up a hill! I have been fortunate enough to have attended multiple shows over the time that I have had her. From getting Breed Champion Duroc at the Colton Tatsch Memorial show back in November and taking second place in my Market Class at Bexar County has been my greatest success so far. Any support that you can provide would help me to achieve my goal of placing at more shows.
