Hello, my name is Zara Ramirez and I'm a member of the James Madison FFA program. I participate in various CDE and LDE teams, such as Food Science, Agronomy, Floral, Range and Skills. I was even able to compete in FFA Nationals in Indianapolis this past October on the Food Science Team.  We finished as a gold-ranking team and I was ranked as a gold individual and earned 19th Individual in the Nation. It was an amazing experience! I am currently completing the floral design, horticulture, and food science and processing pathways, and I really enjoy it.  I am hoping to work with HEB in their floral department and to attend Texas A&M for Horticulture.  This is my third year raising goats as my livestock project. I have learned so much working with my does and I look forward to working with another set my senior year. If I were to win money, I would love to have the experience of raising a steer next year.
