My name is Rylan Smart and I am a Senior at Kountze High School. I have been showing animals since the third grade. This year is bittersweet since it will be my last YMBL. I have grown up in this barn and learned so many life lessons. I have learned to be kind and help others, sacrifice to feed and care for my steer for over a year, and I learned the meaning of family. I am the Reserve Grand Champion Steer and I am so humbled by this. I am thankful that God sent me this steer to raise and love. I plan to attend Lamar institute of Technology where I will be studying Instrumentation and Analyzing Technology. I am so thankful for YMBL for putting on this show to benefit the kids in our area.  Thanks to all of my family, breeder, coaches, and friends who have supported each and every project. If you would like to add on or bid for my steer project, I would greatly appreciate it. It has been an amazing 10 years of showing livestock that I will cherish and carry with me forever. Please come out and support us at the auction Thursday, April 3rd at 6 pm. I am sad to see this season of life end, but I am excited about my future.
