Hi!  My name is Hadley Buchanan.  I am 17 years old and a member of the Golden Prairie 4-H Club. I will be a senior at Falcon High School this upcoming year. Outside of 4-H, I partake in softball, soccer, swim club, FFA, and a youth Christian club called AWANA. 

This is my seventh year showing market lambs, and my third year showing through the Falcon FFA chapter. I have also been showing market goats for five years, and breeding goats for two. I purchased my goat from a farm in Peyton. He is a wether that I named Cramblin after a character from a show I like. Cramblin enjoys basking in the sun. He has proven to be a hard worker when it comes to practicing showmanship. 

Even though I have many years of experience working with market goats, I still learn something new every year. Cramblin has taught me more about how to maintain proper nutrition for a market goat. He went from a gangly wether, to a more muscular product-oriented goat. I cannot wait to see how we fare at the fair!

I will be showing my animals at the El Paso County Fair. You can come see me at my breeding goat show on July 12th at 2:30 pm, the market sheep show on the 15th at 10:00 am, and the market goat show on the 16th at 10:00 am. I will auction off my goat at the El Paso County Junior Livestock Sale at the El Paso County Fairgrounds (in Calhan) on July 19th at 1pm. Your generous bid will help me to finance my projects next year, and to go towards my pursuit of a career in nursing.
