Hi my name is Carsyn Laurence. I am ten years old and this is my first year in 4-h and a member of the Calhan Ranch Hands in El Paso county.  

     I am showing two pigs in the market classes.  Migos is a dark cross barrow. He loves tossing around his plastic bowl. I got him from a local breeder so I got to see him when he was an hour old and watch him grow up. He loves to side-eye people when we are in the barn. We like to call him Mr. Personality because he is a character. I enjoyed training and spending time with him every day and seeing their progress over the last 5 months. It was interesting to learn about all the feeding options and how they effect each pig differently while helping me reach my goals. 

     He placed first in his market class on Tuesday and helped me place 3rd in my junior showmanship class. The El Paso County Jr. Livestock Sale is on July 19, 2025 at 1:00pm. There is a buyer BBQ starting at 11:00am. This would be a great time to walk through the barns and come see my animals.
