Hello and thanks for taking a look at my swine project. My name is Malachi Smith and I am in my sixth year in 4-H. This is my first year in the senior category. There will be some tough competition here in Elbert County, but I am excited to compete with my gilt. Her name is Rho which is the Greek letter that is like a cursive 'p'. It stands for density. And my gilt is dense. She is a pile of muscle. When she was young she was a bit of a scaredy cat, but after a while we made friends. She is great at holding up her head for me. I hope to do a good job presenting her well. Along with my swine project, I will also compete in dairy, rocketry, robotics, leathercraft, heritage arts, .22 rifle, shotgun, muzzleloader, archery, and .22 pistol. I am currently heading into my sophomore year of homeschooling. After one more year at home, I will head to Red Rocks Community College my junior year to begin taking dual enrollment classes. My goal is to complete a physician's assistant degree at Red Rocks and then go on to attend UCCS and get a physical therapy degree. I am looking forward to the 2025 Elbert County fair. I know that I will have tough competition this year as a senior, but I know that I will do my best, have fun, and show off Rho (Density) to the best of my ability. Thanks for taking time to take a look at my hard work.
