My name is Liam Anderson, I am 16 years old and I have been participating in the 4-H livestock program for a total of 9 years. This is my 5th time raising and showing a market beef project and my 5th year showing at the Elbert County fair. I will be entering my steer, Maximus, in this year’s market beef competition. I really am happy with how he has turned out!
Raising, showing, and selling livestock through 4H is and has been an amazing experience. I have really learned many skills and techniques, in these past nine years about what it takes to raise both cattle and swine properly. All of the livestock projects that I have completed in the 4H program have taught me a lot about animals, growing my wisdom and knowledge about how to properly care for animals. I also have become more and more aware of all of the hard work that it will take for me to raise and provide for a family. I am so grateful for my animal and the opportunity of doing 4-H that the Lord has given me. I hope to continue on this path of hard work and amazing experiences through 4H! Thank you for your time and supporting kids like me!
