Support a Young Farmer – Meet Nick & Thomas!

Hi! My name is Colton Sutherland. I’m a 15-year-old 10th grader at Southern High School, and this is my seventh year as a proud member of the Harwood 4-H Club.

This year, I’m raising two market hogs—Nick and Thomas—both Herefords known for their great temperament and meat quality. These two definitely have their own personalities (and favorite snacks!), and raising them has taught me a lot about responsibility, patience, and the rewards of hard work.

Through 4-H, I’ve learned that farming isn’t just about raising animals—it’s about commitment, community, and growth. I plan to use the money I raise at the auction to fund next year’s livestock projects, save up for a tractor, and continue building my future in agriculture.
