Hello my name is Shelby Folmar. My pig "Vanilla" was purchased from Nathan Ray in Illinois for the Austin Rodeo. While I have never actually lived in Austin, my dad grew up there and much of his family still lives in the area. I was looking forward to showing in this particular show because I thought it would be awesome to show in the same barn my dad did growing up and in front of much of my family which would normally never get to see me show. While it is very upsetting that I will not be able to show in Austin this year, I depend on the money made from these types of projects to increase my college savings as well as fund future livestock projects. This particular pig has provided me with success even in the small amount I have been able to show him. He helped me win a buckle at our Chapter Show/Clinic at our schools show barn. He also won his class at the "Branded for Christ" show in Henderson, Texas. This pig has brought me much joy and has been a great learning experience to have such a wonderful pig. My hope is that I can go to Austin next year and that you are willing to help me achieve that goal in some way. THANK YOU!
