Hello, my name is Celeste Marie Gaona and I'm a member of the National Honors Society, the Lamb Barn, Guide Dogs for the Blind, the 2021-2022 Livestock Judging Team, and the James Madison FFA. My journey started in my Freshman Year of 2019 with my 1st lamb named Meeko, a Hampshire Lamb (Medium Wool) as a JV member, and in 2020 I became a Varsity member and raised my 2nd & 3rd lamb, Ponyboy, a FineWool Cross, and Sodapop, a Southdown. I'm currently raising my 4th and 5th lambs who are named Prancer, a FineWool Cross weighing 137lbs, and Dasher, a Southdown weighing 118lbs. This year I participated in: the Pre-Sort Show in Caldwell, placing in 3rd with Prancer and 6th with Dasher, the Medina County Prospect Show in Hondo, placing in 3rd with Prancer and 8th with Dasher, and lastly the FFA Fall Challenge at James Madison, placing in 2nd & 4th with Prancer and 2nd & 4th with Dasher as well. In our North East AG Fair, I placed 2nd with Prancer and won Grand Champion in his breed and placed 3rd with Dasher.

June of 2021, I received Dasher he was a baby, only 2 ½ months to be exact, and he was quite small and fragile, but with time he fit into his build. He has always had quite a diva personality in him but yet a gentle and friendly side to him. When I first started working with him, he never wanted to use his halter and saw it as an enemy and instead, this little diva made me carry him around like he was a baby. I found it quite funny yet adorable that I would have to carry a 60lbs lamb around in the barn when I needed to bathe him. But with time, he soon became used to the halter and me and that’s also when I found he wasn’t hay motivated but feed motivated. Once we began practicing Showmanship, we had a bit of a rough start but with time, I realized he's an easy-going lamb and works well with what I want. In the show ring, he's very concentrated on me and positions himself well especially in a side view. He’s a rockstar in the show ring and I couldn’t ask for a better buddy and lamb to walk into the show ring with. He's never given me a hard like his older brother Prancer but you always need another lamb to balance out the differences!

July of 2021, I received Prancer and at first, he fooled me with his skittish personality but I had no idea what this lamb had in store for me. He was only 3 ½ months old and very scrawny but with some feed and Champion Drive on him, he began to fill out into his well-muscled figure. It took some time for Prancer to warm up to me but he did fairly quickly, with his brother Dasher’s positive responses to me. The first time I worked with Prancer he didn’t listen to me at all, his hoof placement was completely off and he was having a hard time listening to me while other people and lambs were around him. This completely frustrated and worried me at the same time as I thought this lamb didn’t have potential at the time because no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t get him to listen; however, with Mr. Witzel’s help of working on small details at a time and reassurance, I was able to turn this lamb completely around. In our first show, it was a bit rough as he was still learning to get used to me but we pulled through with a 3rd placing. I kept working with Prancer as I knew this lamb had some potential and I’m glad I did because, with persistence and effort, I was able to receive another 3rd placement with him and soon the 2nd placement. Overall, Prancer has been one of my best working lambs and I’m glad I have this champ by my side.

Any funds donated, will be utilized in contributing to my next years' lambs and my future college fund. Last year, I received $2,025 in donations, and that money was used to purchase both Dasher and Prancer, and I hope to do the same this year by reaching my goal of $3,000. Myself, Dasher, and Prancer thank you for taking the time to read through my Lot and thank you for any funds donated.

BIDDING PROCEDURES

BIDDING TYPES: Bidding is done in increments and will vary by lot according to the current price or request of specific consignor and/or governing body such as a specific fair or show board. Bidding Users have one of two choices for bidding style. 1) “Max Bid” style which allows bidders to enter the maximum amount they wish to spend and allow the system to bid on your behalf by the published increments as other Users compete against your maximum bid. 2) “Regular Bid” style allows bidders to enter a bid that will become the new highest bid, unless another User has entered a higher “Max Bid”, passing all other increments. With either option, Users should be aware that they may be out bid minutes before the close of the online auction and may not have the opportunity to enter another bid. You should automatically receive notification by email and/or text if another bidder outbids your maximum bid, however you should not rely solely on this email and/or text notification. You will therefore need to monitor the auction activity to stay fully informed. In the event of a tie, the earlier bid will be considered the winning bid. When bidding ends, all sales shall be considered final. There are no exchanges or refunds absent express statement to the contrary expressed herein. A bid by any person shall be deemed conclusive proof that such person is familiar with the terms and conditions of use and auction rules and that the bidder agrees to be bound by them. Each Lot will extend 5 (five) minutes beginning five minutes prior to the posted end time. If the sale ends at 7PM and a bid is placed at 6:57PM and no other bids are received the lot will close at 7:02PM.

Despite efforts to avoid the withdrawal of lots from the online auction sale after they are listed, it may sometimes be necessary to withdraw lots, therefore, the consignor reserves the right to do so at any time before or during the online auction sale ends and bidders acknowledge the consignor’s right to do so without recourse of such.

On behalf of the NEISD Agriscience Magnet Program and the James Madison FFA Booster Club, we welcome you and thank you for visiting the online North East Ag Fair Premium Auction and supporting the students of the Agriscience Magnet Program. This is our second year to host an online auction to directly benefit the students that participated in the 2022 North East Ag Fair held January 7-8, 2022.

The auction format that is being utilized is a Premium Auction which acts as a fundraiser for the student exhibitors. Bidders will not be purchasing the rights of lease or ownership to the project being offered in the Premium Auction, however, the bidder will simply be making a financial donation to student exhibitors by placing an "Add On" bid to the project being offered.

Again, we are very appreciative of your generosity and compassionate support to reward our students for their time, effort, and finances that they have invested into these agricultural projects.
