San Joaquin AgFest- CA
San Joaquin AgFest Junior Show and Auction provides the young people in our county's 4-H and FFA programs the opportunity to be actively engaged in the agriculture industry. It is an extension of a decades-old agriculture tradition that teaches our young people true lesson in time and capital investments. Like so many others fairs and shows, we've had to rethink our annual program in this unique year, so we offered a full virtual show and sale for our exhibitors. It is with this sale that we continue the tradition and honor our young people and the investments they have made in their market animal, dairy replacement heifer, and ag mechanics projects. We extend our sincerest gratitiude to each and every buyer and donor for their participation and support!
We encourage our buyers to keep in mind that the market animals were weighed at the end of May. However, as a point of refrence, we have listed the probable weight since they were last weighed, based upon the average daily gain of each species, so buyers can make a sound estimation of the size of the lot purchased.
Beef Gain: 20-50 pounds
Lamb Gain: 10-15 pounds
Goats Gain: 6-10 pounds
Swine Gain: 20-40 pounds
Buyers have the option of choosing custom or resale....
The dairy replacement sale catalog can be accessed on the AgFest website. It includes videos of the heifers as well as their production data. www.sanjoaquinagfest.org
