Hello, my name is Hadley Buchanan, and I am fifteen years old. This is my fifth year participating in the market sheep project, but my first year in doing it through FFA. I am a part of the Falcon FFA Chapter, and will be the secretary next year. I  received my Greenhand Degree in May and hope to earn my Chapter Degree next year. I placed third in the District 10 FFA Creed Speaking Contest, and placed 30th out of 130 contestants for Livestock Evaluation. I really enjoyed Livestock Evaluation and hope to compete again next year.

When I am not doing FFA I am a defender for Falcon High School's soccer team, I also play third-base on the FHS softball team and participate in a Christian club called AWANA. Currently, I am the president and secretary for my 4-H Club.  I also ride dirt bikes and belong to a swim club.

My sheep is a Hampshire Cross ewe .  I named her Winnie after a character from one of my favorite books, Tuck Everlasting. My ornery little brother calls her "Winnie the Poo". She has a level hip that transfers into a wide and expressivly muscled upper  leg.  Thus, she will hang a longer hind saddled carcass.  If you are a fan of leg-of-lamb then she's the sheep for you!

I will be showing her on Tuesday July 18 at 10am at the El Paso County Fairgrounds. I would greatly appreciate  your consideration in offering a bid for my sheep at the El Paso County Junior Livestock Sale! The Auction is on Saturday July 22 at 1pm at the Owens Livestock Arena. Your  winning bid will help me invest in new equipment for next year, and to help me pay for college. I am hoping to become a perioperative nurse. Thank you for your time and consideration!
