Savannah Beall Harwood 4H
Hello! My name is Savannah Beall. I am 17 years old, and a senior at Southern High School. I am a member of National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (math honor society), Rho Kappa (Social Studies honor society), Book Club, I play Unified Tennis, Bowling and Bocce at school (sports that involve children with disabilities), I am currently finishing my second year as Harwood 4-H Club's President. Also, completing my first year as the youth member of the Livestock Auction Committee.
In 2023, I raised money by selling my lamb for my friend Selena to get a new wheelchair. I was so excited to see how much money we raised and the amount of support from everyone in my community. She now FINALLY has that wheelchair and will be showing & selling her market animal with it this year at the fair. I want to thank all "Friends of Selena" supporters, my friends, my family and community members, for supporting Selena.
This is Luther, he is a Kerry Hill/Katahdin cross lamb. He is pasture raised and grain finished. He lives with two other lambs and three goats. Even though he was not raised a bottle baby like the others, he still acts like one. From following me around, to trying to jump on me and the barn door. Which after the first few times gets very old. I purchased him from my grandmother’s farm in Davidsonville in April. He was CRAZY wild when I got him, but after a few weeks he calmed down and became very friendly. He did okay at the SMILE show where we won 6th place in the feeder class.
Thank you to Mary Henschel for purchasing my market lamb project Sookie last year! Thank you for supporting me and many other 4-H and FFA members. I hope you consider bidding and possibly purchasing one of my two market projects this year at the auction. I have truly enjoyed being a part of the 4-H community and plan to use all of my profits from this year to pay as much of my college expenses as possible. Also, thank you to all of my buyers from the past auctions and projects. You have made all of my projects possible, and I am very grateful to you.
Thank you,
Savannah Beall
