My name is Kelly Wiedenhoeft , I'm seventeen years old and  currently a junior at  James Madison High school . I moved to San Antonio Texas about five years ago around this time with my family , before moving here my dad told me and my sister about how they have so many different opportunities to offer us in Texas when it comes with schools! The very first thing he told us about is how they have a livestock program at the high school we were located for, for a second i was in shock and confused on what exactly it was and as we dug up more information on it i got really interested and wanted to be a part of it. The FFA program is a dynamic youth organization that changes lives and prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. When I moved here I was in the middle of my seventh grade year , when eighth grade year came I had to submit an application to join the FFA program at James Madison  and enroll in an agriculture course . I've been a part of our FFA program since my freshman year which is when I received my very first buckle which was for Reserved Grand Champion in Showmanship . After three years of raising lambs it's grown on me that I love what I do ; I love going to the barn two times a day seeing all the lambs and hearing how excited they get the moment we step through the doors , but most importantly I love the bond i create with my animal whether its taking him on a walk , putting him in the outside playpen , or cleaning him up for a show! With raising it takes a lot of responsibility and effort you have to be willing to take , but just know in the end every minute is worth it. In the pictures below you will see Bentley. He is a fine wool that I got back in June he currently weighs 145 , he is a sweet loving boy! Bentley so far has been to 4 shows overall he has placed 2nd , 3rd (x2) , and 4th . From past shows the judges have told me his structure is good. He is very muscular sheep along with a nice rack. In the end  I would like to thank you for clicking on my lot and reading up on my story. I hope you enjoyed it , and the money that is raised for me and Bentley is greatly appreciated!

DEFINITIONS

PREMIUM AUCTION: Registered Users understand that a premium auction acts as a fundraiser for the student exhibitor. THE HIGH BIDDER DOES NOT PURCHASE THE RIGHTS OF LEASE OR OWNERSHIP TO THE PROJECT BEING OFFERED. The student exhibitor may keep the project or sell it to a market buyer through negotiated sale or separate auction. Premium sale buyers desire to financially assist student exhibitors ONLY. No transfer of lease or ownership is implied when a lot is designated as a “Premium Auction” Item. Premium sale prices are to be strictly considered a gift to the student exhibitor.

TERMINAL AUCTION: Student exhibitor consignors may offer their project as a “Terminal” auction which means the highest bidder will be granted the contents of the lot at the conclusion of the auction and successful payment. A terminal lot should be understood by the bidder that they are buying the contents of the lot and have the ability to take delivery and provide adequate care of live animals.

ADD-ONS: Users desiring to assist individual exhibitors through financial donations may place “Add ons” on specific lots. These add on monies will be credited to the student exhibitor less applicable sale expenses. There is no transfer of lease or ownership implied to any lot by placing “add ons” on a lot. Add ons are to be strictly considered a gift to the student exhibitor.

BIDDING PROCEDURES

BIDDING TYPES: Bidding is done in increments and will vary by lot according to the current price or request of specific consignor and/or governing body such as a specific fair or show board. Bidding Users have one of two choices for bidding style. 1) “Max Bid” style which allows bidders to enter the maximum amount they wish to spend and allow the system to bid on your behalf by the published increments as other Users compete against your maximum bid. 2) “Regular Bid” style allows bidders to enter a bid that will become the new highest bid, unless another User has entered a higher “Max Bid”, passing all other increments. With either option, Users should be aware that they may be out bid minutes before the close of the online auction and may not have the opportunity to enter another bid. You should automatically receive notification by email and/or text if another bidder outbids your maximum bid, however you should not rely solely on this email and/or text notification. You will therefore need to monitor the auction activity to stay fully informed. In the event of a tie, the earlier bid will be considered the winning bid. When bidding ends, all sales shall be considered final. There are no exchanges or refunds absent express statement to the contrary expressed herein. A bid by any person shall be deemed conclusive proof that such person is familiar with the terms and conditions of use and auction rules and that the bidder agrees to be bound by them. Each Lot will extend 5 (five) minutes beginning five minutes prior to the posted end time. If the sale ends at 7PM and a bid is placed at 6:57PM and no other bids are received the lot will close at 7:02PM.

BID RETRACTIONS: There are no bid retractions. ALL BIDS ARE NON-CANCELLABLE ONCE SUBMITTED. Once a bid is made and confirmed, it cannot be retracted. When a bid is made you manifest your intent and ability to buy the lot at the bid price. A false or fraudulent bid may result in legal action. Any winning bidder who refuses to purchase the lot may be banned from all future online auctions. Despite efforts to avoid the withdrawal of lots from the online auction sale after they are listed, it may sometimes be necessary to withdraw lots, therefore, the consignor reserves the right to do so at any time before or during the online auction sale ends and bidders acknowledge the consignor’s right to do so without recourse of such.

On behalf of the NEISD Agriscience Magnet Program and the James Madison FFA Booster Club, we welcome you and thank you for visiting the online North East Ag Fair Premium Auction and supporting the students of the Agriscience Magnet Program. This is our inaugural year to host an online auction to directly benefit the students that participated in the 2021 North East Ag Fair held January 8-9, 2021.

The auction format that is being utilized is a Premium Auction which acts as a fundraiser for the student exhibitors. Bidders will not be purchasing the rights of lease or ownership to the project being offered in the Premium Auction, however, the bidder will simply be making a financial donation to student exhibitors by placing an "Add On" bid to the project being offered.

Again, we are very appreciative of your generosity and compassionate support to reward our students for their time, effort, and finances that they have invested into these agricultural projects.
