To Whom It May Concern:

Hi! My name is Claire Kelley.  I am an 15 year old member of the Tracy FFA and I will be exhibiting one of my two pigs at the AgFest June 17th and 18th.  I purchased my crossbred pigs on February 6th I have been feeding, washing, walking and training my pigs “Arnold” and “Mr. T” every day.  I have been working very hard on these tasks to ensure that “Arnold” and “Mr. T” are the weight where they will look their best.  I feel like pigs are like people…when you take a bath you feel better and in hot weather you cool down so I wash and condition my pigs every day.  It is important to exercise your pig 3-6 days per week depending on a variety of factors.  I exercise and train my pig 6 days per week.  This allows “Arnold” and “Mr. T” to get out and burn some energy again making them feel good and it gives me a chance to practice my showmanship skills so that I can get better and exhibit my pigs to the best of my ability to the judge.

I will be selling “Mr. T” in the Auction on June 19th at 8:00 am.I am looking for a buyer for “Mr. T”. This year the auction will be run a little differently from the past. You can sign up on www.sanjoaquinagfest.org to receive the information packet in the mail. Ultimately you will sign up through www.stockshowauction.com to make official bids or add-ons. All animals will be sold by the pound. Example: in a live auction you would bid $8.00 for an 250 lb pig = $2,000.00.

The name of the auction platform is AGFEST ONLINE AUCTION. Resale and Custom are still options, no live animals.

DEFINITIONS

PREMIUM AUCTION: Registered Users understand that a premium auction acts as a fundraiser for the student exhibitor. THE HIGH BIDDER DOES NOT PURCHASE THE RIGHTS OF LEASE OR OWNERSHIP TO THE PROJECT BEING OFFERED. The student exhibitor may keep the project or sell it to a market buyer through negotiated sale or separate auction. Premium sale buyers desire to financially assist student exhibitors ONLY. No transfer of lease or ownership is implied when a lot is designated as a “Premium Auction” Item. Premium sale prices are to be strictly considered a gift to the student exhibitor.

TERMINAL AUCTION: Student exhibitor consignors may offer their project as a “Terminal” auction which means the highest bidder will be granted the contents of the lot at the conclusion of the auction and successful payment. A terminal lot should be understood by the bidder that they are buying the contents of the lot and have the ability to take delivery and provide adequate care of live animals.

ADD-ONS: Users desiring to assist individual exhibitors through financial donations may place “Add ons” on specific lots. These add on monies will be credited to the student exhibitor less applicable sale expenses. There is no transfer of lease or ownership implied to any lot by placing “add ons” on a lot. BIDDING PROCEDURES

BIDDING TYPES: Bidding is done in increments and will vary by lot according to the current price or request of specific consignor and/or governing body such as a specific fair or show board. Bidding Users have one of two choices for online bidding style. 1) “Max Bid” style which allows bidders to enter the maximum amount they wish to spend and allow the system to bid on your behalf by the published increments as other Users compete against your maximum bid. 2) “Regular Bid” style allows bidders to enter a bid that will become the new highest bid, unless another User has entered a higher “Max Bid”, passing all other increments. With either option, Users should be aware that they may be out bid minutes before the close of the online auction and may not have the opportunity to enter another bid. You should automatically receive notification by email and/or text if another bidder outbids your maximum bid, however you should not rely solely on this email and/or text notification. You will therefore need to monitor the auction activity to stay fully informed. In the event of a tie, the earlier bid will be considered the winning bid. When bidding ends, all sales shall be considered final. There are no exchanges or refunds absent express statement to the contrary expressed herein. A bid by any person shall be deemed conclusive proof that such person is familiar with the terms and conditions of use and auction rules and that the bidder agrees to be bound by them.

SIMULCAST AUCTIONS: The show and StockShowAuctions.com will strive to provide the best possible experience and opportunity for all participants. In the event of a service provider failure (Electric, internet service provider, telecommunications or other necessary provider) or integral equipment failure internet bidding service may be interrupted in part or in whole. Every attempt will be made to restore internet bidding capability as quick and as much as possible. Any interruption in internet bidding may or may not stop the live portion of the auction. Each sale will solely determine what is best for their situation at the time of any disruption and all participants agree to hold sale harmless of such decisions.

BID RETRACTIONS: There are no bid retractions. ALL BIDS ARE NON-CANCELLABLE ONCE SUBMITTED. Once a bid is made and confirmed, it cannot be retracted. When a bid is made you manifest your intent and ability to buy the lot at the bid price. A false or fraudulent bid may result in legal action. Any winning bidder who refuses to purchase the lot may be banned from all future online auctions. Despite efforts to avoid the withdrawal of lots from the online auction sale after they are listed, it may sometimes be necessary to withdraw lots, therefore, the consignor reserves the right to do so at any time before or during the online auction sale ends and bidders acknowledge the consignor’s right to do so without recourse of such.

San Joaquin AgFest Junior Show and Auction provides the young people in our county's 4-H and FFA programs the opportunity to be actively engaged in the agriculture industry. It is an extension of a decades-old agriculture tradition that teaches our young people true lesson in time and capital investments. Like so many others fairs and shows, we've had to rethink our annual program when Covid-19 started, and this year again we are thinking outside the box and will have a LIVE/SIMULCAST sale for our exhibitors. It is with this sale that we continue the tradition and honor our young people and the investments they have made in their market animal, dairy replacement heifer, and ag mechanics projects. We extend our sincerest gratitude to each and every buyer and donor for their participation and support!

This will be unique as we will have 3 platforms for the Auction.  All auctions will be live time - with the Exhibitors selling their animals at the Stockton Fairgrounds and simulcast through Stock Show Auctions in real time.

The Dairy Replacement Sale will take place on Saturday, June 12th at 7:00 pm

The Beef, Sheep, Goats, Ag Mechanics, Rabbits and Turkeys in that order will be on Saturday, June 19th starting at 9:00 am
