Hello! I’m Autumn Fields, a seventeen-year-old girl from Post Falls, Idaho. This is my third year in 4-H, and I am ecstatic for this year’s North Idaho Fair. Hopefully you can attend our fair this year. We will be hauling our livestock in on August 22 and our sale will be on August 27. Your fair attendance and involvement with 4-H is what has made it possible for the organization to last over a century. We are so grateful for everything the community has done to support us, and we do our best to support you in return.

Although I may have become involved with 4-H much later in life compared to other kids my age, 4-H is extremely important to me. As a youth-led organization, 4-H is exceptionally structured to empower, enrich, and engage youth to reach their fullest potential. I have found that my involvement in 4-H has shaped a noticeable positive change in my physical, mental, and emotional capabilities. Additionally, 4-H is one of the few remaining organizations that focuses on cultivating a strong sense of morality and ethics in youth, preparing them to enter adulthood as meaningful contributors to their community, their country, and their world. I pray that 4-H will continue to thrive in years to come so my children will be given the same outstanding opportunities I was given as a youth.

This is my third year bringing a steer to the fair, and Mack, my steer, may just be my best steer yet. Not only does he catch every judge’s eye in the show ring, but he also has the best personality. I have never met a steer more gentle, easygoing, friendly, and cuddly than Mack. He has always been easy and enjoyable to work with. Mack is a very well-balanced calf with a ton of ring appeal and a healthy, high protein diet that will make his insides just as pretty as his outsides. Mack was fed the highest quality feed that was carefully rationed and monitored throughout his life so it would best suit his body type and how he grew. On top of his feed, Mack was provided a high-quality, stress-free life where he could play with his penmates or relax underneath a fan on fresh, clean bedding whenever he desired. I also put a lot of work into bathing him and regularly working with his hair to help maintain his showy look. I regularly put him in a show halter and practiced setting him up so we could perform our best in showmanship. Not only has this paid off for me, but it also helped my little brother win his first buckle and banner in Peewee Showmanship. I plan on using the money I make on selling Mack this year to help fund medical school and a full time mission for my church.

I really hope you are available to attend our fair this year. We put a lot of work into our projects, and fair is our opportunity to share the fruits of our labor with the community. I have included the complete fair schedule if you are planning on stopping by. If you do, please feel free to visit my exhibit, as I would be happy to talk with you in person. I have also provided my contact information below along with some pictures of my project. Thank you so much for your time and support.

BIDDING PROCEDURES

BIDDING TYPES: Bidding is done in increments and will vary by lot according to the current price or request of specific consignor and/or governing body such as a specific fair or show board. Bidding Users have one of two choices for bidding style. 1) “Max Bid” style which allows bidders to enter the maximum amount they wish to spend and allow the system to bid on your behalf by the published increments as other Users compete against your maximum bid. 2) “Regular Bid” style allows bidders to enter a bid that will become the new highest bid, unless another User has entered a higher “Max Bid”, passing all other increments. With either option, Users should be aware that they may be out bid minutes before the close of the online auction and may not have the opportunity to enter another bid. You should automatically receive notification by email and/or text if another bidder outbids your maximum bid, however you should not rely solely on this email and/or text notification. You will therefore need to monitor the auction activity to stay fully informed. In the event of a tie, the earlier bid will be considered the winning bid. When bidding ends, all sales shall be considered final. There are no exchanges or refunds absent express statement to the contrary expressed herein. A bid by any person shall be deemed conclusive proof that such person is familiar with the terms and conditions of use and auction rules and that the bidder agrees to be bound by them. Each Lot will extend 5 (five) minutes beginning five minutes prior to the posted end time. If the sale ends at 7PM and a bid is placed at 6:57PM and no other bids are received the lot will close at 7:02PM.

SIMULCAST AUCTIONS: The show and StockShowAuctions.com will strive to provide the best possible experience and opportunity for all participants. In the event of a service provider failure (Electric, internet service provider, telecommunications or other necessary provider) or integral equipment failure internet bidding service may be interrupted in part or in whole.
